Was it a certain worry or concern, or just a general doubt in ourselvesD that we all have from time to time?
All of that and then some. Imagine the self-doubt we can all go through, but amplified with speaking about the sacred beliefs of 2 billion people, about a sacred text’s writings of 2,000 years go. It was very, very hard…jumping through rings of fire w courage every step of the way. Of course, there is something very real and important in having that reverence and humility that led me to do everything I possibly could—researching for thousands and thousand of hours over the years, having my work vetted by a few Bible scholars, and crafting sentences and structure for what seemed infinite editing rounds.
So there was that ;-).
But the real doubt was in putting on paper, and into the public domain, the words, messages, and teachings I received from whom and what we have called God or Spirit. Beyond doubt, I had to get through some major fear as well. But I persevered and it was All worth it in the end. I tell you truly, and not in some contrived humility: It was all worth it after the first three people told me their lives had been transformed for the better and lifelong fears removed in reading my book.
Thanks for the question, Kevin
