Thank you for the question. I get asked this a lot. While I know it sounds self-serving, I did write a book about this that will tell you everything you need to know. Your question does not have a yes or no answer. The closest answer to that I can give is: In terms of what most of us were taught about what hell is, no, that hell does not exist according to the Bible. Jesus did not teach about any hell where you would go to after you die if you did not believe in him. You will find nothing about that whatsoever in any of the Gospels. He spoke about the fate of sinners and evildoers who will be judged at the end of the world as we know it.
In terms of is there anything that can be likened to what we think of as hell where we could go when we die? I don’t know- I don’t think any of us can know that. But I personally don’t believe in a loving God who would also sentence us to be tormented for all eternity–much less for holding the right beliefs or not. Check out my book! It will tell you everything Jesus had to say on the subject and much much more.
